Any good books about a living death?
A mute Purgatory that a nobody has to endure?
I'm looking for a book about a character who is drowning in real life and can't escape.

>I genuinely can't tell. There's something with me, but I can't understand how I wanna change, which direction to take, which path I should follow. I'm thinking of changing things around me, my surroundings: it is only natural to grow out of relationships and contexts, even when they you've found yourself in them for so long, they feel like they're part of your very identity, at this point; but that's exactly the problem: you think they are so pivital, so important, so essential to you, you are afraid of leaving them behind, putting an end to them, move on. And that's the predicament I find myself in. It is only natural for you to change and alienate people around you, for you've changed and they won't be able to recognize you. But what if I'm chaning for the worse? Or maybe, by trying to stay true to my "former self" in order to preserve those thing and people so important to me, I will stagnate and, eventually, change for the worse anyway. I don't want to think about it too much, too.

And really what is the difference
Those who you are most deeply disgusted by you will eventually come to fear not even necessarily because you fear for your own safety but because of what they represent, because they allow you to witness first hand the deep well of darkness that exists in the human spirit...

Fucking hell I wish I could be religious. I cannot imagine how nice it must feel to legitimately believe that there is a benevolent father watching you and loving you. Imagine feeling the pull to SERVE and love such a father, a God.

Speaking as someone who has experienced psychosis (though drug induced yet nonetheless persistent despite the cessation of said drug use), almost assuredly. Psychosis always makes you misjudge the intents of others, yet never in a consistent way for each person, this is beyond confusing as one would think that your paranoia would have a traceable source to some insecurity about the relationship you have with said person — but it never does. Certain hallucinations, furthermore, have a very bizarre way of interacting with the world around you, for example I have felt doors being pushed against for a split second, I have heard my own voice, how to go to places I have never been, and have remembered things down to how they felt that I have never experienced. Perhaps the most bizarre part of it all is the confluence of all these occurrences with intense religious symbolism, whether produced by my own feverish scrawling or simply by happenstance.

These experiences have lead me to conclude that there is most definitely a power higher than myself (former atheist), but that it does not belong to any one religion. I am still uncertain if it is benevolent force of good or simply an old and stupid thing unaware of its power but I lean towards the first option, no doubt for my own sake and to curb existential dread. Dreams are also excruciatingly terrifying and though I have plenty of trauma from which they could stem, they are also bizarrely disconnected from any emotions experienced in my real life.

I think the Han Chinese are more to blame than Confucius himself, but the history of that region overshadows both. It is really fucking sad desu, way too much suffering of far too many for far too long.

They're the same.

Modernity is the inevitable culmination of a will to improve. Any desire to make your life better leads inevitably to skyscrapers and twitter - just as it must inevitably lead past them as well.
