4. It’s a meme to hate on it for being fanfic. Fanfic is traditionally forbidden on /lit/ (but then so is Ayn Rand)

Here’s a pleasant addendum to the cycle from the west coast of America. Not in epic poetry, but she does it some justice

I don’t know about this author, but I enjoyed this one a lot.

LHoD sounds a bit dull to me, so I continue to avoid it. I can recommend Lavinia, is very good though not mentioned too often. My next of hers will likely be Always Coming Home

The Penelopiad, and enjoyed Le Guin’s Lavinia. Are there more?

I consider this book the best of U K LeGuin's works. The novel is a retelling of the Aeneid from the standpoint of his Latin wife, Lavinia. Elements of Fantasy but also I believe a realistic portrayal of the ancient time of the pre-Roman Latins. Good read!
