Right now trying to figure out whether we are currently moving in kinetic or tactile space...

I can sense a great deal of kinetic movement or ground due to the nature of the computer: notice that banter, or "play", is completely impossible here, but we still are under the tactile figure of TV, which explains why we still value le cheeky banter. Trolling is only acknowledged and looked upon as a sort of living fossil, or living nostalgia within kinetic ground, where the casual, the playful is completely replaced with the... opposite.

Also I don't know where the olfactory sense would be in all of this. I guess that the effect of the computer is olfactory, for we focus on instant retrieval, which is somewhat cognitively associated with the mechanisms of olfactory perception? As in a simple smell can retrieve memories you thought were lost within you

I think there's something olfactory about picrelated. The artist misinterpreted, or rather re-translated the meaning of the Proteus chapter as an olfactory one. It deals rather with the effects of multidirectional acoustic space translated into continuous visual space, but today we just assume that Joyce wasn't "all over the place", but was rather immersed in familiar, yet extremely personal, scents that will not mean much to an outsider, for they haven't underwent the same kinds of experiences as he did. Yes, Joyce is today an olfactory writer. Reminiscing his fart letters... possibly, I might be onto something...

And it really is impossible to have Le Cheeky Banter on the internet. Nothing is ever casual here. Communication is speeded up, but it's not possible to joke. Just try holding a friendship on the internet, you'll see. It dies if you do not acknowledge that you are moving in kinetic, not tactile, space. This is more the classroom than the playground
