This is the one fact about the book that even people who haven't read the book are aware of. It's literally general knowledge at this point, the point has been made in so many critical papers and analyses of the text that it doesn't even bear thinking about. Even Deleuze gives mention to the structural and formal motif in the first chapter of ATP. Hey /lit/, I've been reading philosophy for a while now but feel like my horizons are limited by a relative lack in scientific knowledge. I want to learn more about the philosophy of neuroscience, where's the best place to start? And what's the most current/cutting-edge thinking on the subject?

I'd have thought if /lit/ was gonna have a pomo critique thread they'd at least be able to respond to specific arguments or points addressed by certain thinkers, but it sounds like the majority of you haven't even attempted to read the relevant material before talking about it. Let's say that one day you decide to do some gardening. You mow the lawn, trim the bushes, and cut back the branches of the tree. You're about to start uprooting the weeds along the path when you hear your mother calling out:

A weed is defined as any plant that you don't want in your garden. So if you acknowledge that it is a weed (IE. an intrusion of unpredictable/undesirable nature), but don't remove it, is it still a weed?
