You are born, you grow, you have sex, then shrivel for the next 60 years until you die. During all those years you are controlled by an entity that constantly makes you crave for more. Failure satisfy these urges results in torture. Why even bother? It's all so tiresome.

What does /lit/ think of CJ Hauser's piece, "The Crane Wife?" Shit's apparently blowing up like it's the second coming of "Cat People."

/lit/, has anyone had problems focusing while reading? I have not done it for a while but I think I have ruined myself with multitasking and over stimulation from gaming and watching shows at the same time. I find my attention spam is that of a goldfish. Anyone overcome this, should I start meditating a bit before reading? And of course obviously stop doing multiple things at once.

I have choice between "training" reading assigned books for murican 12-14 year olds and young adult crap or having whole fun suffocated by searching for words frustratingly often.
