if there's one thing Nanowrimo has taught me it's that every faggot on the internet has written a novel. And with self publishing, I'd guess more than half of those novels are being printed on demand. Even if you do it all when you're 12 years old, you've got a line of other 12 year olds who have self published. It's a non-accomplishment at this point.

One time I saw a self published book and, no joke, no exaggeration, it just straight up had a picture of Lightning from Final Fantasy 13 as the cover image. Not fanart, either, like a promotional image made by Square Enix.
