No I am not saying that. What I am saying is that Expanse is reusing themes, concepts and technologies that were written about almost 50 years ago, which accidentally is one generation removed from the current readership who will find it new and exciting. Having seen it all before it did not grab my attention as much. Now even less because the direction taken sounds retarded.

Let's take acceleration couches, which have been described as far back as the golden age of SF. Joe Haldeman in Forever War actually has a far more effective set up, using liquid submersion. Due to liquids being non-compressible, the crews can take far higher double digit acceleration.
