Because they are shit. Unless you are one of those people who think Captain America is a spy thriller (a convo that I actually had).
I read Wh40K novels in my free time (and being continually amazed on just how much ink has been spilled to describe ornate power armors) so I also read and enjoy trash, I just don't pretend it's any good.

And please don't defended anything superhero related. Especially comics, which set the bar for bad writing. After over a decade of, as I already mentioned, half a dozen 2 hour commercials that cost about 100+ millions of dollars to make, superhero comics are being read by less people than before. That's how horribly bad they are.
