In the industry the same shit happens. Only the cheapest price matters and they only manage it by flooding the market. I never thought the same would happen with books. Stephen King is the best example. He shits books out and people worship him for being able to write so much. But what is about the quality of his books? It's insane how people rate him for the trash he lets out. He wrote a book about a murderer and it's called Mr. Mercedes. Do you know the premise of the book? A bad person does bad things because... he already was a bad person. That's it. That's the whole story. Not a goal or developement leading the bad guy to do something. He is just an asshole from the start to the end. I bought the dark tower series a few years ago and haven't read past the fourth book because i hated every site of the series. I paid for the books and gave them a chance but it's just so stupid what happens in the story. Now i read a summary of the remaining books and couldn't believe that this shitshow gets recommended left and right. George R R Martin is not any better. He just added an insane amount of details to his crap and people worship him for his disgusting crap. Just because someone can write a lot it doesn't mean it's good but it became synonym with it and i hate it. Now do i have a right to be mad at these writers for being successfull? I think so. I believe these books are objectively bad and degenerate. I am not at fault for disliking them. Something is going massively wrong that these two writers are getting so much money for their work. I don't know what the fuck is going on but we shouldn't just accept it. Something has to change.

i go to the library or bookstore and it is filled with hot garbage. i always ignore pretty much the whole place and just go to the one shelf they have for classics. i cringe every time some metrosexual faggot brags about being published, and then you look to see what he wrote and its all the shit nobody will remember in 5 years that only exists to be an obstacle littering bookshelves you have to pass by to find something worth reading

How do I write about stuff thats interesting? Is it actually true that you have to experience stuff irl to write about it? All I can write or think to write of has to do with a depressed protagonist that has horrible deaths/sad scenarios. I just want to write the typical love story...

I actually have nothing against smoking weed but some people are beyond annoying with the bullshit, its like a subculture/personality trait nowadays. I do believe that smoking a lot is a really bad crutch.
