The entire world is my muse
as long as the trees are being cut down
and the walls are vandalized
and men and woman are fighting
and the children are crying
and pews are desolated
and the banks cheat their people
and the government defends evil-
poets will always have a purpose...

to color the forests
to paint the walls
to keep the peace
to preach of faith
to hold hands
and link humanity

with words that never lose ink.
