I'm not an antinatalist either but yeah, its a fallacious argument. A false equivalence to be more precise. Not being born =/= dying.
I have a feeling it only strengthens the antinalalist position that their detractors can't into basic logic.

Its a bit like if I kidnapped someone and forced them into a helicopter. Then, once we got to altitude, me saying "hey pal, if you don't like being up here, there's the door." By then you're dealing with the human survival instinct so the point is moot; You won't get them to overcome it this way no matter how shitty their situation.

If we want to argue against the extant being having a vested interest in continuing to survive, good luck.
