I already am /scifitlit/. I study mathematics and physics for 8 hours a day, lift then read 100 pages before bed. It'd be a perfect life if I had a gf that wasn't a dumb fucking bitch total cunt.

I'm thinking of joining a church to find a Christian gf (if there are any left). Only problem is I was raised by atheist fanatics and have no idea about church formalities or how to even be a good Christian.

I've almost achieved nothing in my life. Never had a paying job and been out of uni for a couple of years. I've given up even trying. Reading the secret agent by Conrad. There was a part where he talked about the protagonist's indolence being due to 'the philosophical unbelief in the effectiveness of human effort' and I thought this perfectly explains my current predicament. I've seen my actions amount to nothing so now I'm convinced on not even trying. Keep thinking my only way out is to somehow make money on the internet. No idea what I could even do though; I'm not that good at crypto investing.

This is one of the reasons why we can't have nice things.

It is nice to read both for adults and teens. As a teen, you relate to the character and see yourself as him. But as you get older and more mature you realize how you do not want to be him and the flows that come when you do act like him.
You can label it all you want, it is still worth the read.

If you really want to hear about it, the first thing you'll probably want to know is where I was born, an what my lousy childhood was like, and how my parents were occupied and all before they had me, and all that David Copperfield kind of crap, but I don't feel like going into it, if you want to know the truth.

I read this as a kid and loved it, does it still hold up as an adult?

Why do people hate Holden again? He seems like the archetypical /lit/ poster, neurotic, depressed, lonely, feels like an outcast, hates the normies, sensitive, moderately intelligent, good with words, retarded around women, etc. I relate heavily to Catcher in the Rye, yeah Holden's a dumb pathetic shithead but am I not ?

Also I'd appreciate any recs that will help me out of the Holden mindset. I feel like I probably shouldn't still be like this at age 20.

I forgot how bad this site got. I went on /v/ to talk about the new red dead all they do is post scanty anime pics, porn, complain about not being able to genocide people or just throwing /pol/ lingo around. I don’t belong there anymore, as I feel my brain cells leaking out of my ears when on the board. I wish things go back to the way they used to.
