Adequate prose style is the prereq for the writer to be able to express ideas in their work, and I'm not sure why that is. Something about needing to develop subtext properly, a delicate separation between surface and depth where they accurately related and lead into one another

Reading for pleasure is perfectly fine.
I don't read genre fiction because I don't find it enjoyable, but if other people do then that's based and I'm happy for them.

That's fair, overexposure has caused some "interesting" side effects on me over the years. After adopting this little pet theory of mine that anime girls aren't exactly 'human', though, and partly disassociating the two concepts in my head, it's been smooth sailing.
