Post recommended conservative writers or texts.

Some of my favourite conservative writers:
Joseph de Maistre
Anthony Ludovici
Carl Schmitt

I believe these write with perfect clarity and reach to the essentials, much more so than any abstract liberal theorist might.

I also like Heinrich von Treitschke for his rugged, vigorous conservatism.
For modern guys, Roger Scruton is good.
