Nihilists just don't know what happens when you find a stranger in the alps.

I can see that argument.
But the other side of it is people who seek refuge in underdog status, believing that because their argument is unpopular it gains a mantle of truth.

We got this a lot back when we had to ban Ayn Rand threads.
It was wave after wave of "You disagree because this argument is too edgy and real for you."
And we don't need any of that.
Arguments should stand on their own logic,
"Not wanting to cause offense" shouldn't be entered into consideration, but "It offends people so it must be true" also known as "you're butthurt so you're wrong" shouldn't enter into it either.

pic related...
(okay pic not related, but I managed to tie Big lebowski into relevance in other arguments today and I've got a combo going, don't question it, or you'll find out what happens when you find a stranger in the alps.)

>Do you think I'm OP?
No, you're just the guy who defends him. He trolls and you run interference.

You're a cunt-by-proxy, congratulations.

You get the pleasure of pretending you stepped in to "protect the underdog, against the nasty pseudo-intellectual"

But in real life, you just watched somebody take a shit on the board, and when you saw someone complain, you went arms deep into that shit and spread it around.

And we get too much of it.
What with the Ayn Rand novels leading into flamewars about objectivism and neo-conservatism, and the anons who think it's interesting to post "All writers from X race or demographic are shit."

/lit is not meant to be /pol-2 for /pol's who can read.

Why the fuck do people read fantasy books? I cannot imagine a bigger waste of time.

>mfw I found out there are fantasy series that have been going on for decades with tens of books and thousands and thousands of pages

Why waste all that time reading what is basically a soap opera for nerds, when you could put it to good use and reading something of value?

>another guy comes early
>sits near me
