Pharmaceuticals stifle the creative spirit which comes with madness.
Is it preferable to be docile yet dull, or clever yet cracked?
To rage at random intervals before sinking into gloom, then starting upon some great idea until it is lost with all the rest. This is the double-edged sword which countless crackpots wield.
But I daresay that I would rather take a life of exhilarating highs interspersed with soul-crushing lows, than to drift even-keeled along some mundane baseline.
A mind touched by fire is a delicate thing, prone to debilitating mental breakdown. But there is a blessing blended in with such a terrible curse; why reject the gift which medicine shan't reverse?
