I started writing something big today /lit/. Been writing short stories for a while now, thought I should expand my horizons and do something bigger. Not really sure how big I want it to get though. It's about gangs in a kind of steampunk world (not super sure I'll go with the setting though)

I kind of want to write a bunch of stuff that goes against the grain but I'm not sure if that's just cause I'm tired of politics. One of the characters was gonna be from the top gang and realize even if she's not a shitlord like the rest she's still gonna be treated the same so it really isn't about doing the right thing to stay alive, more her wanting to succeed and just going with the circumstances. Is that too edgy? I feel like too many stories these days always end up with someone bad doing the right thing and dying cause of it or being redeemed and I want to avoid that.
