Thanks but there is no magic in the story. I also don't want to rely on magic stones, cores, ores, elemental stones etc.
Here's a scene what i am talking about.
Mc and his team needs to deliver arrival of a being like Cthulhu to all world. One of the team member is a character that's been called from modern world. He's a history freak and basically says they should go to "chronos" aka the city where the technology made in this world. He knows they can't build airplanes, zeplinnes, helicopters because the whole world is just entering something similar to an Industrial age. They will go to this city and the modern world team member will propose a making of air baloon and early first world war grenades. So meanwhile they can be fast at going at places they can also carpet bomb whatever tries to attack them from ground.

This city, shouldn't be a steampunkish city. Maybe i feel something similar to pic related can be used but i have no idea if it could work.
