Wittgenstein, if you reads the bits that were excluded from the Tractatus, was a Pantheist in the style of Spinoza. The World as a finite whole is like an alien Will (like God) and being happy means to be in conformity and agreement with it and its natural laws. Of course he may have later changed his mind but he wasn't a full flown athiest or Christian either way.

I wonder how content I would be if I lived in a hut on a Norwegian fjord like Wittgenstein and could pursue my autistic introspections undisturbed (with no internet connection). Everything would be light. I think I would be much happier than I am now, but only if there is at least a town nearby within walking distance with a pub or something where I can socialize during those moments when solitude becomes unbearable.
