It's DH's reasoning based on Gödel's incompleteness theorems. The key insight was that our brains deal in symbols and supports a self swallowing system. Look, if you don't want your claustrum, I'll take it.

I know it's a bummer, but the theory solves the hard problem. If that's bothering you, tell me what parts are being left open.

Exactly. Also he put NotPynchon for the name and the first post was too long winded.

Read Infinite Jest first because it has very similar themes and is complete. Both novels' themes are: Be Careful What You Pay Attention To.

The Pale King is far from finished, it's like 1/3 of a book. It does postmodernism better than IJ does, but the book, or whatever it is, just kind of stops. The map for what the book was going to be is in the notes at the end and it would have been pretty fucking amazing if he didn't y'know, wink wink.

The story was going to include a terrorist attack a la OKBOMB and a PISCES-esque supergroup of tax accounts. Maybe /lit/ should finish it for Master Wallace.

Point being, go w/IJ. It's also way way easier.
