Im not being sarcastic now, but is it any book that succesfully makes use of this narrative? I have no archetype to relate with except the incel dreamer. The closest thing I've been to is Bernardo Soares from Book of Disquiet but he was still essentially a loser

I've given new books a try. I spit pages in 30 seconds, utter shallow trash with nothing to add. There is some interesting philosophy stuff but even that pales in comparison to the older works

The canon as a concept is quite useless, I dont quite see the point of it. When we "defend the canon" do we defend the works in the canon or the list/collection itself?

If the former, then we dont need the term canon to defend them. If the latter, I dont even care, who cares about a made-up list
