Friend published a book and gave me a signed copy. I start reading it and the structure is so off I can't bring myself to get through it.

He's got dialog, internal monologues setting/character descriptions occupying the same paragraphs. Randomly uses quotation marks.

Asks me how I liked it, I told him to fire his editor told me already has. I don't understand how something so basic can be so fucked up. I don't understand how a professional editor can let this thing get published the way it is.
