AP is a fundamental misunderstanding of the magnitude of the fine tuning problem. It's a hand wave to not engage with the impossibility of the natural arising of the fundamental laws and constants necessary to create a universe capable of sustaining chemistry, let alone life.

It also exists after the problem of why we have physical laws and constants at all, why a rulebook of the universe exists, who put the rules in there, and what makes those rules effective. Form needs to explained as coming from something unformed and prior to form. There is no anthropic handwave here, because the anthropic principle is another rule, a form, that begs explanation for why it exists as a rule at all.
