It's actually one of my favorite novels, which is why I can't stand the incredibly loose readings which take place on here. everyone talks about whether he raped the girl or not like that's the most interesting question the book raises, whether the prostitute was the child or whether the kid killed her, it's very obviously ambiguous and lends itself to interpretation; but oh look anon figured it out because the prostitute tells him to get a drink so he must be pedophile. just look at the fp itt ffs
