David Zindell is best known for his sci-fi novel Neverness. His fantasy books are a really classic feeling and sort of lyrical. Im not gonna overhype the books of which there are four, the first of them being the best in my opinion. To me it was a fair attempt at classic style of fantasy which to me has a lot of heart and the prose isn't half bad. It has a lot of spiritual overtones without becoming tiresome.
seriously underrated in my opinion, maybe it was the horrible US-covers. They look like screens from the 80's Hercules TV-show.
