I enjoyed it, but it was a very clear case of Dick's not knowing where the novel was going at the beginning and meandering along until he found an okay ending.

Favourite Dick book is either The Divine Invasion or Radio Free Albemuth - they're both basically VALIS written a little more coherently with more whizz-bang sci-fi stuff and less amphetamine idea-spaghetti (which I enjoy, but after having done too much speed and being a bit interested in religion it becomes very easy to spot where the drug is writing).

Oh, enjoyed the Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch - some awesome ideas in that. Alien drug fucks up reality is a great mind-fuck.
