Firstly, Stirner’s book was poorly translated, though you probably haven’t gotten past the cover “Ego and...” that’s not the title. This is. The ego is the self. Though the man wrote mirthfully, he was not the *egotist* advocating fool Ayn Rand.
Secondly, Nietzsche was concocting an actually reasonable way to deal with the end of deisms. Kierkegaard’s method was to pretend nothing happened.
Lastly, Epicurus isn’t a hedonist. That was Aristippus. Epicureanism is negative hedonism, and similar to Daoism

This translation (in your pic) is a slog, though I made it through and it was still fun and smart. Pretty self contained, though you could spend a little time with his background with Hegel and the Young Hegelians for context, though it’s not necessary really.
