Conan is based, bros. Even based Wagner wrote a solid Conan pastiche called Road of Kings. Captures Conan's characterization perfectly while also being a pretty dark story overall. Probably would have been better as a short story though, but it's still good.

Thank you, my white friend. In fact I just finished the book and still very much recommend it for Conan fans. Even though its highs don't quite reach the same highs in KEW's other REH pastiche, Legion from the Shadows, it is by far better consistently written with very little discernible padding to stretch it out to novel length.
