Well anyone who's well read on philosophy has read Nagel, he's been well established for decades. Brandom is not well known outside of academia but his new book on Hegel would be worth checking out. Badiou is a total meme and a contemporary of Deleuze, he's an unrepentant Maoist who is one of the most brilliant philosophers of mathematics ever. I have no idea why Badiou never caught on here.
