How important is to read Beckett's trilogy in one of the original languages?
Does a foreigner translation diminishes blatantly the original writing?
How far is the language component essential to Beckett's work?

Has anyone read this trilogy by Samuel Beckett; Molloy, Malone Dies and the Unnamable?

I've been a bit interested in getting it, but to do so it would require waiting weeks to order it here. Is it worth it?

I'm surprised Molloy/Malone Dies/The Unnamable by Samuel Beckett isn't brought up more often. The disgusting, sexually charged isolation in those first two books is like a hyperbole of half of 4chan's population.

That said, I also happen to love the trilogy, as much as it doesn't surpass his best theatrical works.

I suggest that you go back to Beckett. He wrote novels as well as plays, and his so-called trilogy (Molloy, Malone Dies, The Unnameable) seems like it might fit what you're looking for.
