You've got to be kidding. How is this actually in a 'revered' book? Also, the characters are beyond ridiculous

The only thing I give this book credit for is enlightening me as to the libertarian mindset.

Does part 3 get any better?

Atlas Shrugged. The whole thing exists just as a excuse to write John Galt's speech. She honestly should have just expanded it if she wanted to write a fucking essay.
A good essay on individualism it is but the rest of the book is a slog.

Prose: 6/10
Sufficient to the task. Workmanlike and employs little metaphor.

Story: 10/10
Rand likes an integrated consistent whole for her stories. All elements blend and elevate each other.

Characters: 8/10
Written purposefully as archetypes representing a given ideal, which is done well. Differing aesthetic philosophies will grade it as too unrealistic. Though well written, mary sues abound.

Philosophy & moral: 11/10
Best that has ever been. Isolates and identifies an ancient moral issue that has persisted for millennia and tackles it with skill seldom seen.
