is there a recommended order if I wanna read several works by Garcia Marquez?

I don't really wish to discuss One Hundred Years of Solitude, but I have a question to all the people who enjoyed it.
You're aware that there's also a lot of people who don't really get into it, right? Or even, people who just hate it.
Now, what advice would you give to someone who's about to read it? Any helpful tip, anything they should or should not expect? Anything 'required' to fully appreciate it, in terms of knowledge or just state of mind? Any preconceived idea they should get rid of?

Is this book worth reading? What makes it special?

I've finished the first chapter and my focus keeps waning. And I can't think of a book that I enjoyed which didn't have an engaging opening.

Is this one of the most overrated books ever? It's long, boring, and when it gets political it's the worst thing in the world, until that point it was actually a good book.

Just finished reading Love in the Time of Cholera and pic related, was wondering if lit had any recommendations in a similar vein. i loved gabo's outlandish-realist sort of style and the long timelines and the natural settings etc.

Best book ever written in Spanish - including the Quixote. The quote above is quite accurate (except for the fact that it gives too much credit to The Book of Genesis).

I've taken a break from One Hundred Years Of Solitude. I just passed the part where the colonel dies but I don't feel an incentive to go on. Sure, the prose is beautiful is some parts but I feel like the story is just rambling. Is it worth going on or is it much of the same stuff?
