Many of the translations will be out of date
Many if not all of the English-language books are legally available for free on the internet due to them having fallen into the public domain
You could get them at the library
The type will probably be small and irritating to read

Not worth 250 imo. It does look like an interesting selection of important books though, albeit maybe a little Anglo/liberal heavy.

Apparently the number of people who read for pleasure has stayed the same since the 1980s, which of course means that the percentage of people who read for pleasure has decreased. So in fact, to be honest, you're both wrong.

Personally I blame our shitty education system and the general "proletariatization" of society.

It's unavoidable though. Even if you buy a pair of nice wool pants the thread holding it together probably won't be made of wool, and the pockets will be made of a different fabric. A good suit jacket usually has a lining made out of a different type of fabric than the outside. Honestly show me a jacket or pair of pants made out of 100% wool. . .protip: you can't. Lots of cotton shirts are made out of a blend of different types of cotton as well. And how would you buy undies? Every pair of undies I've ever owned has had some elastic in the waistband.

There is simply no discussion to be had on 4chan "culture", sure you can go and describe and explain all the memes, but that's not even the point of the entire website. People don't browse 4chan for the "dank memes" like they browse reddit, tumblr or twitter, that description can maybe describe your typical 14 years old that browses /b/, but not much else. You can already see how misinformed the author of the book is, using "kill all normies" and a frog, while the majority of people on 4chan are already starting to denounce Pepe and especially the word "normie", nobody that has used 4chan for a long time really uses "normie" anymore, it's either normalfag or a different abbreviation of it, simply because the majority of people outside of 4chan are starting to use normie ironically and unironically in their speech, and people on 4chan simply don't want to associate with this type of people.

If the book delves into /pol/ "culture", which it most likely will, then what is there discuss? Why people call Canadians "A fucking leaf" or why sudacas shitpost Peruvians with "el PeruANO", why Australians are despised but loved as well? The entire board is simply many different people with many opinions sharing their opinions on what is happening in the world, sure a lot of them are right wing, natsocs or something else, but what the hell is there to describe? "pol is a website where many nazis and right wing people go to discuss modern day politics" is pretty much the only honest description you can make without delving too far into describing memes.

The entire book will be either a ridiculous rant about the alt-right culture (which isn't even 4chan or /pol/ culture, but rather a red wing culture from reddit) or just an article about (alt) right wing culture in general, which again, doesn't even really apply to 4chan, and why not make just a book about the (alt) right in general?

The little prince was a manifestation of the childhood of the pilot(the author). When he crashed and his death was inevitable, the pilot started living out the suppressed child inside him, starting with drawing sheep in the desert instead of fixing his plane.

The little planet of the little prince represents the childhood home of the pilot with the rose being his childhood sweetheart, but one day he grew up and had to leave and move on with his life. On the different planets he met various types of people that the child inside the pilot could not understand. The fox represents a good friendship and the garden full of roses the various women to have relationships with, just as pretty as his childhood sweetheart, but every single rose looks the same and has not the same charm as his childhood love. The snake is a reference to the biblical serpent in the garden of eden. Being able to live his repressed childhood in the desert again was sort of a garden of Eden of it's own for the pilot, but when he fixed his plane to return to his normal life, it was like biting into the forbidden fruit, killing the little prince and thus repressing his inner child again.

So did the Little Prince die? Not really, since he never really existed in the first place.

What a moronic video, Beethoven was never listened to by the millions but by the aristocrats who were trained to enjoy such music and it mostly is still only enjoyed by aristocrats that have a trained ear for such music. If you were to make a valid argument comparing music you should compare old classical with new classical - music listened to by the aristocrats with trained ears - or modern pop music with old folk songs - music listened to by the common folk.

A peasant most likely never listened to a single piece of Beethoven or Mozart and even if he did he would've not enjoyed it, the same applies to modern humans, just because everybody owns a phone and laptop nowadays does not mean that they are not peasants still.
