I'm reading Goodbye Columbus right now and I feel like I'm missing some sort of historical context 'cuz it reads like E for Men type romance schlock. Is there something in the dynamic of class relationship between Brenda and Neil that I'm missing or some sort of Jewish undercurrent that I'm not picking up?
