Under 1k words of worldbuilding if fine but you hit rapidly diminishing returns beyond that and a really basic doodle of the map for spatial awareness. Anything over like 2k words is probably an utter waste of time unless you've started practicing/mastering prose.

t. guy with an abandoned 10k word world building document rotting on his laptop but who went on to write a whole book on 300 word outline.

500 words of new prose per hour is considered normal for someone with a bit of experience. "Words per day" is an arbitrary meme because a NEET writing 5 hours a day and a Mormon father of 5 with a full-time job that gets 45 minutes of writing time at 6am each morning obviously should have very different daily goals.

In general I don't think considering a writing session a success or failure based on raw word output is constructive (in fact might encourage some self destructive habits). I suggest people check their word count gains every few days to see if roughly tracking, but unless you're on a tight deadline raw word count shouldn't be distracting you.

Same length but I love mine - 15k more words to go. I figure it might be either a good reader magnet for people to discover my other stuff. Alternatively I could Twilight to be all my own with pretty minimal effort (but then nobody will read it)

Elder Scrolls for me

How tenable would it be to self publish a "parody" novel set in a major franchise (Elder Scrolls in my case)? All original cast, completely ourside of a game story. I really like my book but skeptical how receptive the IP holder will be to it due to me being a rando and the themes of alcohol/drug dependence and implied sex.

I'm also fine just polishing it and putting it out for free, maybe try and start an email list for future projects. But it occurred to me that I could theoretically make something back for my time with a few renamed cities/setting details.
