I have never seen /lit/ discuss Confederacy of Dunces. Why not? This book is an American comedic gem.

Hey /lit/, I browse here occasionally and I never see any critique threads, and, checking back the last 5 pages and the neet catalogue, I don't really see any critique threads for short stories that we've written.

I've been trying to get some feedback on my style and prose lately after writing I think sums up to a fairly decent short story. I've gotten some glowing reception from friends, but 4chan tends to give criticism that I can work with better than the opinions of friends.

I know it's a bit long; the most I want out of any of you is to scan my prose, word choices, stuff like that and tell me if I'm shit and my story is shit (and especially why). Similarly, anything you guys want to share, I'll give my thoughts.
