What's the bookiest book you've ever read? Like, you bought a book, you read the book, then after a while you went ''that book is really booky, like a book similar to other books''. If you aren't understanding the question, then I'm asking what book was the least memorable book you've ever read, and after you read it, you forgot it, because you've read so many books, that it just didn't stand out. A really booky book that falls under the category ''book''.

You're right and wrong. A gift card is lazy. But giving someone a book is even more inappropriate. Only you can know what you want to read and no one else should decide this for you. A friend of mine once gave me a pop sci physics book on my birthday. He didn't know that I had already read real textbooks on quantum mechanics. Another friend once gave me a book with poems. They were all poorly written amateur poems and couldn't compete with the aesthetic standards I was used to. Low quality books are accumulating in my shelf due to people of lower intellect wrongly believing themselves to know what kind of books I need.

Because the idolization of his person is not justified by his meager contributions to philosophy. Everything he wrote is unremarkable. He took like a dozen trivialities and stretched them with redundancy and autistic run-on sentences. If he was concise his work would be less than 10 pages instead of several hundred. And none of those would contain anything of significance that hasn't been said before.

I just started reading the bible, finished the book of genesis. I have to say I'm heavily disappointed and disgusted. We urgently need to discuss this book. So here's a short summary of what I read:
>some dude rapes his father who passed out drunk
>two girls rape their drunken father to get pregnant
>dudes constantly marrying their sisters, cousins, aunts or other relatives
>some dude scams his brother, scams his father, gets rewarded by god
>dude has a whole night of violent buttsex with an angel, can't walk straight anymore
>two dudes force an entire village into circumcision, then continue to slaughter the whole village
>a group of brothers decides to kill their brother for no reason whatsoever, then change their mind and sell him into slavery
>a dude impregnates his daughter-in-law because he mistakes her for a prostitute
>a father forces his son to impregnate his deceased brother's wife, the son refuses, gets killed by god
And those are suppsoed god's chosen people whom he spared from Sodom and Gomorra. What the fuck? I thought religion was supposed to about morality? This shit is certainly NOT appropriate to read for children.
