Guy, is it weird to feel intimidated and insecure when reading someone who's vocabulary is vastly superior to yours, as if they have downloaded the Thesaurus into their brain.
I say it's merely intellectual posturing, people compensating for their writing that holds no real substance, but I know it's just a way to ease my feelings of extreme short coming. I feel I'm in a dick measuring contest with my 7 incher while my opponent, going first, is whipping out his 12 inch behemoth, and I feel no point in showing mine, what's the point? Doubt and insecurity has shrivelled my own 7 inch to a measely 3 inch!
How can my tiny vocabulary compare to your steriod pumping BBC vocabulary?
Of course you can say it's now the size of your vocabulary that matters but how you use it. Is that not just cope, guys?

>>ugh you haven't even read Dianetics and yet you don't like Scientology?
I can attack the legacy of Scientology without the need to talk about L Ron. but I actually did read Dianetics before passing judgement on L. R. Hubbard. You know like any honest thinker should do.

>Read a history book if you don't believe me.
I minored in History and took a course in early modern Russia. Please tell me which books you read that brought you to that conclusion.

>You fucking commies always say this shit never realizing that, maybe the reason "real communism"
Communism is not a state of being but an act of striving and becoming. The French Revolution, the nationalst revolutions of the 1800's Europeans, none of these things or anything in particular "are democracy". When we read Toqueville we can see how quaint it was to pass judgement on a grand and radical philosophical/social/economic system by single data points. Some things are right and some things are wrong but so often we are biased to the status quo. All of this to say that the USSR was not capital 'C' Communism but its heroic efforts to, for the first time, radically transform society was Herculanean, inspiring, and both ugly and beautiful as all truly great things are.

>Communist countries killed people so Communism is evil
For any horror that Communism has committed, and they do exist, there are 2-3 you can show committed by a Capitalist country. But when you point this out they'll say that it wasn't the fault of Capitalism because Capitalism is just a pure economic system completely independent of the actual actions of the governments that create it. It's an emotional, childish, and dishonest type of debate that really just shows they have no real points in favor of their system and just try to shame people into submission to their unjustifiable system.

Compare any Communist country to an equivalent Capitalist country at the start of their revolution and then compare them 10-20 years later and you will find with few exceptions that they by far have the better outcome despite Capitalists every attempt to destroy them.

This was what it seemed that grad school was going to he when I was getting my degree. I just know I was born to be a professor but it's just impossible and repugnant at this point. I think I'm going to get a masters and then teach highschool college dual credit lit courses. At least I'll actually have tenure.
