At the level of a composition course, it makes sense to keep things simple for the sake of clarity and reaching a wider audience.

"Cultural Appropriation" is a slur meant to make people from primitive cultures feel better about themselves by giving them a semi-valid way to nitpick people from more sophisticated cultures. People forget that it takes an entire culture to shape the values that lead to things like harnessing hydroelectric power, so using those end products is as much appropriation of the culture as wearing a feathered headdress, the difference being that Indians have an inferiority complex with the white man and so can't see a white man wearing their traditional garb as anything but a cruel mockery.

I unironically enjoy a lot of things about secular Jewish culture, especially the openness, even eagerness, to debate any subject.

Went to school with loads of Jews. There's nothing across-the-board wrong with them, but it's easy to resent the rampant nepotism even though everyone does it, they just tend to do it in higher places than average. The ones that look super inbred-Ashkenazi can be annoyingly neurotic and physically pitiful but that's not so common as you might think.

There are really two sides to secular Jewish culture, the radical side that generates both SJW and orthodox Marxist activists in contrast with the neoconservative side that rules the finance world and promotes zionism. These two groups only get along because they feel like they have to. People get the idea that there's a united Jewish conspiracy because plenty of SJW types are pro-Israel and both sides feel obliged not to murder each other.

I like some books by white women, some books by men of color, but I just have not found a book by a woman of color that I wanted to read all the way to the end. In fact, trying to read them in college helped make me way more prejudiced than I was when I started. So much for that librul indoctrination machine.
