The problem with Leftists today, above all, is that they refuse to move on from Marx and revolution. They are so utterly unrecognizable from what Marx wrote yet they still insist on aligning with Marxism and rebellion. They are hardly any different from your average liberal progressive in America today, their progressive views are widely accepted in our mass culture, institutions are quickly adopting them across the board, yet they still pretend to be the underdogs, the downtrodden outcasts who will guillotine their oppressors when they finally log off twitter one day.

Never mind the fact that most of what they desire materially (healthcare, gun control, better financial welfare) is already a basic reality in every country outside America. They would be able to accomplish so much more and so much more effectively if they surrendered their pathetic LARP of being the heirs to Marx and just embraced what they actually are: middle class progressives who care more about the diversity of liberal capitalism than they do destroying it. But they never will, so you're permanently stuck with 30 year old depressed millennials lecturing you about pronouns and how they'll change their identify a few more times before they kill themselves in 10 years, then somehow combining that with communism.
