For some reason, it's difficult for me to enjoy fictional novels. Therefore, I haven't read many.
Help me find some fiction I can stomach.

I read a fictional book whose characters were founded as figures of the author's schizophrenia. Knowing that, I was so interested and loved the book. I love reading memoirs and reading about psychology.

For some reason, The Alchemist touched me. I enjoyed The Fountainhead. I mostly read books about psychology or something of the human mind. I like memoirs and anything scientific. I can't fucking stand reading books by Aldous Huxley. His voice just makes me want to punch my wall.

I really like slate but I wish there was a way to filter their XX articles, they are invariably atrocious in terms of content, writing quality and journalistic integrity.

Speaking of which, DFW would have made a much better journalist than a writer.

Very important question, and very relevant to todays problems such as ecology or whatever.

We know there is a catastrophe coming, but we don't have the capacity to full integrate the seriousness of the problem.

Basically we look at the sky, everything seems nice and we cannot convince ourselves there is a problem. Simply put, we humans are not wired to think intuitively in such ways.

My solution to this would be the obvious one; to sever ourselves from our natural roots and embrace a truly mathematical, mechanical totality of existence.

That is the only way human civilisation can progress and survive, I claim.

Best word I can think of is if you say someone is a 'malignant' or 'malignants'.

Although I'm not sure if this works in the context of Slavery, it seems to me that there is a difference between wanting to eradicate a group (terrorists) and suppressing them (slaves).

as a psychology graduate, you should be ashamed of yourself.
