I've been reading Robert Bloch's "Psycho." The one turned into the Alfred Hitchcock film, (not American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis.)

I loved watching Alfred Hitchcock's "Psycho" as a child. The added psychological depth to the novel adds new layers to the film that I couldn't get out of it just by watching the movie. But I can't help but noticing this book would be labeled "Transphobic" today. I'm going to buy the sequel novels soon. I really don't hate trannies at all, but I enjoy a good novel or story about a man running around in women's clothing stabbing people. I was wondering if /lit/ new any other books like this that I could add to my bookshelf. I know that one of J.K. Rowling under the Robert Galbraith's "Cormoran Strike" novels in the series is about that. And then there is Thomas Harris "Silence of the Lambs." But all of this sounds like too short of a reading list, that I could be done in a month or two. Please help me complete my library before society burns these books, and I can't read them anymore. Any transphobic novels would be fine, but I'm mostly looking for slashers, but I will will take others that aren't.

When I'm reading a book and I come across a sentence or passage that could be better, I feel compelled to rewrite it on my computer, print it out and glue it over top of the flawed original.

I've been forced to BTFO every single author I've ever read at least once.

>Now what do I do?
You sit back and ask yourself "where does all this dependence arise from and depend upon for its own existence as a dependent thing?"

Then you realize "Actually, this cannot even arise and exist as such because if dependent things only have other dependent things it can rely upon for its own existence and dependence, none of the dependent things are sufficient to account for the existence of the total set of dependent things as a whole and so it leads to an unresolved infinite regress concerning what permits these dependent things to exist at all" which reveals that the notion of the interdependence and emptiness of everything is thus a false doctrine.

Then you move on to reading more logically-consistent metaphysics and philosophy.

Yes. I even ordered a copy of my book from Barnes and Noble's printing service to put on my shelf.

I think it's because I've grown more confident. Multiple professors and beta readers have reinforced my self esteem over the past couple of years. I also managed to get a job in the field of English despite not even having an A.A. degree yet. I feel good about my writing.

I need some recommendations for chad books, no philosophy or political garbage. Something that when I read I feel my heart racing, like how to wrestle a bear or horror shit. Books that make me feel like I can take on the world but realistically not some self insert lanket looking into the open ocean bullshit
