Hey folks!
I'm working on compiling a new, actually good left-lit chart, so I'm looking for suggestions of things to include in it, or other formatting ideas ppl might have. I've already got a fairly large list of books so please don't suggest anything too obvious, I understand The Communist Manifesto should be on there, but works that get forgotten about or just are generally less obvious than that.
Also of ppl have already existing lefty charts they want to post that would be awesome to, the ones I've seen before are always lacking, but maybe there are good ones out there I've just never seen. Thanks folk!

Everyone talks relentlessly about left-wingers, but few spend any time trying to figure out what they're actually saying.

You all seem like a well-informed bunch. What are some essential books everyone who describes themselves as left-wing would read? What are the key ideas presented in those books and their relevance to the current discourse on a given topic? How did some of those ideas manifest historically and influence our current thought? Which ideas persist? Which have faded into obscurity?

I don't expect expertise, but surely some of you are aware.

What sort of notes do you keep when reading non-fiction?

I feel like I can only remember the main point of the book, and after a few months barely remember anything specific at all.
