Are you really going to convert to a religion just because of politics? Why Christianity in particular? One could argue that Islam is against degeneracy. Lack of religiosity and degeneracy also isn't a direct correlation. You can have degeneracy in religion, and you can have morality without religion. I have no idea what you are hoping to get out of conversion. It won't magically make the degeneracy go away, even if most of America called itself Christian and went to church every Sunday. You would have to revert decades of societal "progress" to eliminate degeneracy.
