However, this is now a thread about the drugs a particular author used and how it impacted their writings. Pic related was constantly on bennies which explains why Atlas Shrugged is a million pages long, fucking speedhead could NOT shut the fuck up or stop writing.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Ayn Rand. The philosophy is extremely logical, and without a solid grasp of psychology most of the ideas will go over a typical reader's head. There's also Ayn's atheistic outlook, which is deftly woven into her narratives- her personal philosophy draws heavily from libertarian literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these ideas, to realize that they're not just profound- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Ayn Rand truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the meaning in Ayn's self-insert rape scenes, which in themselves are a cryptic reference to Smith's Scottish philosophy of Capitalism. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Ayn Rand's genius unfolds itself on their laps. What fools... how I pity them. And yes by the way, I DO have a "Who is John Galt?" tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.
