Any other critiques of liberalism in this vein, preferably postdating Lasch? I intend to go back and read Lasch's influences (classical sociologists, Marx, Ellul, the Frankfurt School, etc., most of which I am not too familiar with) but Lasch has a certain clarity and reasonableness that, among other qualities, makes me rank him over the shrill LARPers certain elements on this board seem to favor. What I am trying to say is that I don't want to read Nick Land, Moldbug, Bannon, etc. I want serious social historians and critics who aren't totally on board with the status quo but who also aren't reactionaries, provocateurs, and/or fantasists.
