Hey /lit/, first time posting here. There's a book that was read to my class before 1st grade which I am hoping you guys could help me find. As you would expect, it's a picture book, but drawn in a simple style. Here's the best way I can describe it, and I remember how morbid it was even as a kid.
>The story takes place on a tall, narrow hill with a well on top.
>There are four or five children playing with one another on this hill.
>One by one, a kid plays with something dangerous or wanders somewhere precarious and gets killed.
>I distinctly remember one was a girl in a blue dress, who cried as she slipped and fell down a waterfall.
>I think another kid fell down the well itself.
>The story ends with a boy left on top of the hill, who is happy that he's okay.
That's the gist of it. Once every long while over many years, I've spent a few hours looking for it our of curiosity, but no dice yet. Maybe it's lost media by now, but any help is appreciated. Pic unrelated, but funny.
