currently reading the peloponnesian war at the moment
one thing i found very interesting and reassuring is a line by thucydides around page ~360 (can't remember the exact page number) where he says
>the lack of romance in my history will detract, i fear, somewhat from its interest
if you think a book is boring, don't punish yourself by wading through it
instead put it down because that's a normal feeling - the original historian himself said so!
