Goodreads ratings cater to its demographic, which is cancerous and has disgusting taste. Almost all of my favorite books/the classics have scores in the low/mid 3's on Goodreads.

Moby Dick has a fucking 3.5, lower than Harry Potter books. This tells one all they need to know.

Jordan Peterson is absolutely not on the level of any of those guys, but the real issue is he doesn't even try to be. He isn't an intellectual who is pursuing deeper truth or even artistic fulfillment for its own sake, those can come from whackjobs all the time. He is a boring psued who tries to give out life advice from a practical standpoint, so being a weirdo is a serious problem.

For a bigger discussion, see pic related. If you're any kind of abnormal person (as most of us here are), you are doing yourself and others a disservice by shilling for normie standards. Normie standards are for normies, and if you aren't a normie you never will be and by trying to be one you'll just make yourself insincere and cringey in addition to abnormal.
