I am aware of litrpg, but my intention was to emulate certain things I really like in video games (steady gear progression in MMOs, difficulty levels or enemy redskins being inexplicably more challenging, Diablo-style randomized monsters or loot with special properties, etc.) into a story without it being a literal video game book. I suppose some of it comes from finding a good main character motivation that can carry the "I mist constantly get stronger" without it being pure Shonen anime tier or chinkshit Cultivator fantasy.

I am so autistic that I made my fantasy world have five elements, fire water earth air and life. This is a relatively common setup, but the reason why I did this is because I visually imagine the creation of the fantasy world, and with fire water Earth and Air it would just make a bunch of desolate deserts and mountain ranges with oceans with nothing on it so I had to add in something else that would make it look green but without any animals or people.
